The Connecticut Science Fair is supported by academic and industrial organizations throughout the state. An important objective of our program is to attract young people to careers in science and engineering, while developing skills essential to critical thinking. Through science fair participation, students are encouraged to pursue independent work using proper research methods. It is open to students in grades 7 through 12 and held at Quinnipiac University.

The fair has two major divisions, the Pfizer Life Sciences and the Connecticut Science Center Physical Sciences. There are also special fair categories in Applied Technology with support from Barnes Aerospace, ATOMIC Mathematics Awards with support from Webster Bank, Xerox Computer Science Awards, Dominion Millstone Power Station Energy Awards, Audubon Connecticut/Arch Chemical Environmental Awards, and the United Technologies Awards.
